Eid ul-Adha Dish Party Sunday the 11th from 2:30 to 6 insha Allah

Bismillah

In celebration of Eid ul-Adha, there will be an Eid dish party in the Letterkenny Community Centre insha Allah.

As we’ve done in previous Eid parties, this will be a dish party where everyone is encouraged to bring food and sweets so that we can all share our international tastes.  There’ll be food from Sudan, Pakistan, Morocco, Egypt, Bangladesh, India and lots more countries so don’t miss out on the chance to taste them all! 🙂

Plates, cutlery etc will be provided.

We intend to ensure that the food is separated so that everyone gets a good helping. Please bring your dish in two separate containers if possible.

There will be a bouncy castle and play area for children as well along with some fun and games for the kids 🙂

It’s always a fun occasion for all the family.  Both adults and children enjoy the occasion. So don’t miss it!!

Venue: Letterkenny Community Centre

Date: Sunday the 11th of August

Time: 2:30 – 6 pm

Schedule:
2:30 – 3:30 pm: Gather & Play
3:30 pm: Food served

Looking forward to seeing you there insha Allah!!

Eid Mubarak – Sunday the 11th of August insha Allah

Bismillah
EidAdha

Al Salam Alaykom wa Rahmat Allah wa Barakatu

The Letterkenny Islamic Association wishes to congratulate all Muslims in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal and all around the world on the occasion of Eid ul-Adha which is confirmed for Sunday the 11th of August insha Allah.

May Allah accept from us and from you.

There will be two Eid prayer sessions this year to accommodate the possible increase in numbers with Eid falling on a Sunday. The last time Eid prayers fell on a Sunday, the numbers were greater than the hall could accommodate with people coming from far and wide to pray in Letterkenny.

Session 1: Takbeer starts at 7:45 am with prayer at 8:15 am sharp.
Session 2: Takbeer starts at 10 am with prayer at 10:30 am sharp.
Venue: Letterkenny Community Centre

Please do come along early and join us in the takbeer. It’s part of the pleasure of Eid 🙂

The words of the takbeer are as follows.

الله أكبر الله أكبر الله أكبر، لا إله إلا الله

الله أكبر الله أكبر، و لله الحمد

God is The Greatest, God is The Greatest.  There is no deity except for God.

God is The Greatest, God is The Greatest.  All praise is to God.

You can listen to what it sounds like here:

As with other Eid prayers, the whole family is encouraged to come so sisters and children can enjoy the occasion as well.  We ask everyone to please bring prayer mats with them from home as the numbers have gotten very high in recent times.

There will be an Eid dish party later the same day so be sure to join us for that as well! More info here.

Eid Mubarak!
